Be The Real In Real Estate

You might be wondering what does that mean, put the Real in Real Estate? Well today in this market it is hard to find authentic people who are just willing to be 100 percent real with you and themselves. We have developed into this society where it is just to easy to make someone else the fall guy or not take accountability. I have seen this on all levels from buyer’s to seller’s to even other agents.

So it begs the question what would being real look like…well for starters how about we as individuals show up as our real authentic selves. Lets take off the mask , stop attempting to be what we think people want and just be us. Then next even though real estate is customer service that does not mean that my goal should be to sale you a pipe dream . I need you to be real with me on your expectations and then allow room for me to put those expectations with the financial facts and see where they align.

So this means I do not need to show up and tell you if you have a pre approval for $150 thousand that we are going to find you that 4 bedroom 2 bath , huge house that is detached and in a good area…now we might find at 4 bedroom 1 bath , semi detached home In a lets say situational area depending on the time of day..lol ..sorry but yeah we might find that oh and just so you know if might not be move in ready. So its better to be Real early on to adjust expectations before we even get started.

Then as a Realtor lets go even deeper , lets be real with our other fellow associates. People like the other agent involved in the deal, our broker’s , our title people yeah those people matter and lets not cause their lives extra stress by not doing what we are suppose to do and then making them the fall guy. Its hard I get it , its hard to just own when a mistake happens , its hard to tell people to when you are disappointed with services but lets do that out of respect for our peers and lets take their feedback in stride so we can better ourselves.

I just think this is the standard I want to hold myself to , being real and authentic which is the best version of me I have to offer is what I am striving for. I have been guilty of all the things mentioned so by no means am I just trying to point out someone else that is not what this about. This about me for starters being real with myself so I can have a successful business.
